**Gloucester Director of Rugby Nigel Melville has praised England coach Clive Woodward's decision to included James Simpson-Daniel in the team to face New Zealand this weekend.
Simpson-Daniel has been in fine form in this season's Heineken Cup. He tormented the Munster defence in Round 1 and scored a hat-trick of tries against Viadana in Round 2.
"I am delighted that James is going to get a cap," said Melville.
"He is very talented and has got everything. He is extremely committed, and I am glad that England are looking to the World Cup and not just the win on Saturday."
While Simpson-Daniel is over the moon his team-mate Gloucester Andy Gomarsall has not been so fortunate and will have to make do with a place on the England bench.
"It is very tough on Andy, but if Matt Dawson gets injured this week, then he will go straight into the team," said Clive Woodward.
**Leinster Lions centre Brian O'Driscoll will captain Ireland this weekend when his side play Australia at Lansdowne Road.
O'Driscoll will deputise for Keith Wood who has aggravated a neck injury. Like Simpson-Daniel, O'Driscoll has had a fantastic European season scoring two tries in his side's 51-10 mauling of Swansea in Round 2.
**Leicester Tigers flanker Neil Back will have to be content with a place on the bench when England play New Zealand at Twickenham.
Woodward has admitted that leaving Back on the bench and replacing him with Lewis Moody was not an easy decision.
"It was a very big decision, but ever since Argentina in the summer I have always been thinking about Moody starting this game," he said.
"Moody came through strongly in Argentina, and deserves his chance. It is the first time in five years that I have left Back out, and he is very disappointed, but he is in a very competitive position."
