Newcastle Falcons and England star Jonny Wilkinson has revealed the shoulder injury he sustained during England's Test against South Africa is likely to keep him on the sidelines until the New year - ruling him out of his side's PARKER PEN CHALLENGE CUP second round first leg tie in Treviso on Saturday, 7 December (2.30 pm local time).
"These injuries tend to take about three or four weeks," said Wilkinson, who was recently voted the IRPA Zurich International Rugby Player of the Year by his fellow professionals.
"It happened just after I passed the ball to Martin Johnson in the second half.
"My shoulder just 'went'. It had nothing to do with the red card incident in the first half. It happened moments before I went off."
Newcastle were beaten 28-15 in Treviso two seasons ago, although a 30-19 home triumph was good enough to steer them through to the finals of the then European Shield.
