Bath Rugby assistant coach Brian Smith said his side are confident going into Sunday's big game.
"We believe we can match their outstanding pack and we feel we've got an edge over them in certain areas," the Australian said.
"We're a side that likes to express ourselves. We've had to graft out victories to ensure we got the points to edge our way out of the relegation zone in recent weeks, but the pressure is off on Sunday.
"They are the raging hot favourites and we have everything to play for.
"This is a side that won't give till the death. As a coaching team, we're very proud of the way the players fight.
"We know we're up against it, especially against the heavyweight Wasps pack, but that might just be the inspiration we need.
"Being a part of the Heineken Cup next season is a massive prize to play for. That was our major goal at the start of the season and, despite our poor league form, it is still there for us."
One player who knows what it's like to win a European title at Bath is England and British Lions fullback Matt Perry.
"The last few weeks have been pretty intense," he said. "There have been a lot of different emotions flying around at the club.
"A lot of incredible have happened this season and we could still qualify for the Heineken Cup by picking up a European title.
"If we can show the same spirit this side has shown for most of this season on Sunday, then I'm sure we'll be all right.
"This is a big trophy to win and if we come away with it on Sunday, it will be thoroughly deserved because we've come through some difficult times.
"You learn a lot about yourselves and your team-mates when things aren't going so well. If we can end the season by winning a major European trophy, it will be fantastic."
