Bath Rugby prop John Mallett is relishing the prospect of playing in the final of the PARKER PEN CHALLENGE CUP on 25 May.
Although the day is likely to be tinged with sadness as he pulls on the club jersey for the 219th and final time, 'Shep' knows that he couldn't have asked for a better way to end his Bath Rugby career - especially having already helped the club secure their Zurich Premiership status for next year.
'The PARKER PEN CHALLENGE CUP final will be a fantastic finale to the season,' said John. 'It's great for the fans to be able to come along and experience a cup final, and there is sure to be a tremendous atmosphere. It will be a special day for supporters and players alike.'
'We have now put the exciting climax to the Zurich Premiership season behind us and are fully focused on the game ahead. Wasps come into the match as one of the form sides in England, but it is all about the performance on the day, and we have that incentive of a Heineken Cup place to go for.'
