Castres Olympique are preparing for an epic battle in the PARKER PEN SHIELD final against Caerphilly at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday (kick-off 13:00)
The Welsh club are playing one of their last ever game under their current identity, before restructuring in Wales takes place next season.
"Caerphilly are focused on victory, and so are we. We are preparing ourselves for a big game," said Castres' scrum half Alexandre Albouy.
'David Barrier, our captain, and coach Christian Gajan, have been in England to promote the PARKER PEN SHIELD final,' he added.
"David and Christian told us Caerphilly were really up for this match. And that their target was to win the silverware before their identity changes next season.
Castres have now turned their attentions to the PARKER PEN SHILED, after focusing the playdown pool in French championship.
And the players have been preparing for the game by watching the video of Cearphilly v Patrarca Padova in the semi-final; a 'poor game', in Albouy's words, 'because of the rain, the mud, the fact that a lot a B team players were on the park, and because Caerphilly had won easily away the first leg.'
Castres will take a leap in to the unknown when they travel to England, and there is no question that Castres are focused on bringing the Shield to France.
"To come back to Castres on Sunday evening with the PARKER PEN SHIELD would be a great achievement to prepare next season," said Albouy.
Castres will fly to Reading on Saturday afternoon.
