After just one week of tickets being available for Toulouse's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Northampton Saints, sales have gone through the 10,000 barrier.
The knock-out tie is being held in the 35 500 capacity Stadium de Toulouse on April 12 and the race is on to produce a bumper show for the people of Toulouse, who have not seen a rugby match at the Stadium since a chemical explosion in September 2001 damaged its foundations and structure.
Toulouse's communications manager Céline Cluzel said: "We sold 4 500 tickets to season ticket holders and have since sold another 6000 to the general public which is great news.
"We have also reserved 1,800 tickets for Northampton supporters. What is so good about reaching this important 10,000 barrier is that after just one week of sales, we have already filled one third of the stadium."
