Castres Olympique take a daunting 29-point headstart into their return PARKER PEN SHIELD semi-final leg against Pau in a fortnight after a dominant performance.
Fly-half Romain Teulet scored 29 points, including a try, in Castres' 54-25 win.
Castres scored six tries to three, with Teulet in fine form with the boot - adding 24 points as the rugged French club confirmed their favouritism for the Shield.
Pau started well, even leading 20-13 at halftime, but they had no answer in the second half as Castres took control in front of 2,000 fans.
