London Wasps Director of Rugby, Warren Gatland, has named his team that will take on Pontypridd at Sardis Road, on Friday 25th April, in the second-leg, semi-final of the PARKER PEN CHALLENGE CUP, (kick-off 7:05pm).
There are a number of changes from the side that beat the Bristol Shoguns on Easter Sunday, as the English side attempt to get a result at Pontypridd's Sardis Road ground.
In the backline Mark Denney will replace Stuart Abbott at centre, while Josh Lewsey will move from right wing to fullback with Mark Van Gisbergen moving to the bench. With Lewsey at fullback, John Rudd will switch to No.14 and Kenny Logan will start No.11. Centre, Fraser Waters is still out injured with water retention on his knee and will therefore miss this game.
The only change to the forwards is Phil Greening replacing Trevor Leota at hooker.
Wasps took a 15-point lead heading into this game and The Men in Black will be looking to secure a place in the final with either Bath or Saracens. And Gatland was cautious as he prepares to take his side to 'The House of Pain'.
He said: 'I don't know if it's going to be enough. The first 10 minutes of the second leg will be crucial. If Pontypridd score an early penalty and a try, it's game on'.
'If we can get a couple of penalties ourselves it might give us a bit of a buffer. I think for them to win and beat us by more than 15 points they're going to have to score more than one try, and then stop us from scoring tries. However, we are capable of scoring tries'.
