Perpignan skipper Bernard Goutta will finally get his chance to play at Lansdowne Road four years later than he'd hoped for.
The back row forward was part of the Perpignan team who reached the semi-finals of the European Rugby Cup in the 1998/99 season. His side lost to Colomiers 10-6 and missed out on a place in the final against Ulster at Lansdowne Road.
"That was the year that the English clubs didn't play in the Tournament and our semi-final against Colomiers was a much lower key affair than our semi-final against Leinster on Sunday," said Goutta.
"Sunday's game is a massive match and everyone at the club is looking forward to playing at Lansdowne Road.
"That's where we would have played if we had beaten Colomiers and we are looking to come back for the final next month."
Perpignan coach Olivier Saiset admitted he knew "little or nothing" about Leinster.
"We know they are very fine side and they will be very hard to beat. We have been involved in some very physical games in the French Championship, while Leinster hasn't been playing so regularly, "said Saiset.
"We have lost Renaud Peillard, our loose head prop through in jury, but other than that we are in good shape and looking forward to a mighty challenge."
Perpignan have switched Nicolas Mas across the front row from tight head to loose head and Stephane De Besombes comes in as the only change form the side which beat Llanelli 26-19 at Stradey Park in the last round.
