Saracens centre Kevin Sorrell sustained a fractured skull when playing against Northampton Saints on February 8.
He will be sidelined for up to 10 weeks.
The PARKER PEN CHALLENGE CUP semi-finals between Saracens and Bath take place on the weekends of April 11-12 and 26-27.
The shocking injury makes it seem highly unlikely he will play any part in the double header.
Sorrell was led from the pitch after suffering a heavy collision with Saints flanker Andrew Blowers.
When he regained his feet he was helped from the field clutching his face.
The promising 26 year-old's steady performances and on-field presence have seen him take the role of vice-captain at Saracens.
He had been targeting a place in the England A team, but with this injury any hope of that will have to be put on hold.
