Biarritz scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili claims he is ready to step-up and replace injured captain Fabien Galthie against Ireland on March 8, and earn valuable experience of playing at Lansdowne Road.
Biarritz must travel to Dublin to face Leinster Lions in the Heineken Cup quarter-final, and Yachvili has never set foot on the turf of the famous ground.
The 22-year-old has been an integral part of the success of the South west France club this season. He has scored two tries in his total of 64 points in this season's campaign - as well as kicking fourteen penalty goals.
Yachvili made his debut for France in their 35-3 victory over Canada in November and is the natural replacement for Galthie, who picked up a right shoulder injury in France's 38-3 RBS 6 Nations win over Scotland on Sunday."
"I am ready to do it if I am given my chance," said Yachvili.
Yachvili's Biarritz team-mate Serge Betsen is also likely to start the game in Dublin.
