There are now more and more ways to enjoy Heineken Cup action. If you can't get a ticket for the game, then you can join the millions of fans watching on television, or tune in to any number of local radio broadcasts, and now - through the partnership between European Rugby Cup and the BBC, you can now listen from anywhere on the planet on ercrugby.com's Match Day Live page.
And as if that wasn't enough, you can relive the best moments from the three European competitions with ercrugby.com's exclusive video replay feature.
The massive bonus of home advantage in the quarter-finals, meant a bumper day at the turnstiles on the weekend of Round 6 - not to mention armchair audiences of over 5,000,000 switching on to the games broadcast by FR2, BBC Grandstand and RTE alone.
The match between French champions Biarritz Olympique and Cardiff on FR2 attracted close to 2,500,000 viewers (and a 26% share of the market); Munster's epic against Gloucester was watched by 2,300,000 on BBC and 170,000 on RTE while Leinster Lions' win at Bristol Shoguns pulled in a RTE Sunday audience of 140,000.
Leicester Tigers recorded a UK record attendance for a Pool match when 16,845 packed into Welford Road to see them beat Neath; the Munster and Gloucester match was watched by a Thomond Park crowd of 13,300; the Ulster v Northampton Saints contest at Ravenhill by 12,500 and Bristol's clash with Leinster by a season high of 7,013.
And ercrugby.com's exciting 'listen live' facility is attracting more and more listeners. Tens of thousands of fans tuned in over the course of the Pool stages, with the highest figure for Leicester Tigers' away trip to Amatori & Calvisano in Round 5.
"Match Day Live is proving to be an invaluable service to people from all over the globe, and the feedback ercrugby.com has received has been very encouraging," said Diarmaid Murphy, ERC PR manager.
The Match Day Live feature will be available for the knockout stages on ercrugby.com
