Greening Stays At Wasps

Greening said, " I'm really happy to be staying and to have signed for another two years. I had offers from about six different clubs to move and financially it was very flattering. I was looking to get more regular first team rugby and thought a move would be a good idea. I even went and put an offer on a house, that's how serious I was about moving".

"However, being around Wasps and being in London, I just didn't want to leave. I'm a partner in a sports marketing agency and to grow the business I need to be in London"

"Also it's so hard to leave Wasps and I think it would have killed me if I had left. I know that I have made the right decision as I'm happy and this is where I want to be".

London Wasps director of rugby, Warren Gatland, said, " Phil is such a valuable member of the Wasps squad and I'm delighted that he has decided to stay. His experience and leadership is something Wasps will certainly need during this world cup year. At 27, his international career is far from over and he still has a lot to offer Wasps and English rugby".
