Heinken Cup snippets - Pool 2
***Gloucester will be seeking to maintain their unbeaten home record in the Heineken Cup when they entertain Bourgoin at Kingsholm on Saturday. In seven outings on home soil they have won six and drawn one - against Colomiers.
***Bourgoin have already beaten Gloucester at Kingsholm in European competition. They were 24-9 winners there in the 1996/97 European Challenge Cup Pool 4 matches.
***Bourgoin skipper Pierre Raschi is set to retain his ever present tag when his team travels to Gloucester for his clubs 20th Heineken Cup tie.
***Bourgoin full back Alexandre Peclier is just five points short of 100 in the Heineken Cup. He has played in 11 games.
***The Bourgoin coaching team of Philippe Saint Andre and Laurent Seigne won't have any difficulty in finding Kingsholm this weekend. They both worked together at Gloucester before returning to France.
***Irish grounds are becoming something of a fortress in the Heineken Cup. Leinster Lions' home win over Biarritz Olympique last weekend was their eight straight win and made it 14 games without defeat for them in home matches (their semi-final defeat at Lansdowne Road against Perpignan last season was deemed to be played at a neutral venue and therefore not classed as a home tie).
***Munster, meanwhile, will be looking to extend their record breaking run of home victories to 19 when they host Benetton Treviso at Thomond Park on Saturday.
***Ireland is the only country in which an Italian side has never won in the Heineken Cup. Benetton Treviso's trip to Munster will give them the chance to make history having already triumphed in England (over NEC Harlequins), Scotland (over Edinburgh) and Wales (over Pontypridd). Calvisano provided a victory in France (over Beziers).
