Notions that Beziers, beaten 18-10 in their own backyard by Connacht on Sunday, might be less than committed in the second leg of their Parker Pen Challenge Cup clash at the Sportsground this Saturday have been firmly quashed with the announcement of the French side.
Beziers, current leaders of the French Championship, have made ten changes from the side defeated by Connacht on Sunday and they have called in five full internationals in a bid to salvage the tie.
French internationals Jean Marc Aue, Sebastien Bruno, Steven Hall and experienced flanker Arnaud Costes have been drafted in having missed the tie on Sunday for a variety of reasons. Also back is Argentinian prop Pablo Cardinali for a Beziers side that has a dozen full internationals on their books.
Four replacements who came on in the second-half at Stade de la Mediterannee as Beziers reduced Connacht¹s lead, are also included in the starting fifteen this time round.
Sebastien Bruno, the Beziers captain and hooker, said that the eight points advantage can be quickly wiped out.
"It is better to get off to a good start with a home win but with seven points for a try and conversion, the eight point advantage can be quickly wiped out. We will have to camp in their half to put doubts in their mind," he said.
The game on Saturday gets under way at 2pm with a host of free activites for children at the Sportsground. Connacht supporters have been urged to come out in force and roar the side on to the next round of the competition.
