Roland De Marigny, the Rugby Parma captain who will miss the second leg of his club's Parker Pen Challenge Cup Round 1 contest with Pau because of a shoulder injury, believes they can still cause an upset.
Rugby Parma went the closest of the Italian sides to taking the first leg points and De Marigny feels that the five-point deficit from a 33-28 result is not impossible to haul back.
"We realise it's going to be difficult for us away from home but we are staying positive and we will do all we can to overturn the points difference and go through to the next round," said the outside half.
"We did the best of the Italian teams last weekend but the Parker Pen Challenge Cup tournament always brings out the best in our team and we hope that all our hard work over the past four or five months will pay off.
"All matches are won or lost in the front five and we battled in the scrums in the first half last Sunday.
"We have taken a hard look at ourselves since the weekend and hopefully we will win some ball at Pau on Saturday and get it out to our backs - who have some real pace."
