Narbonne want to get in the fast lane for their Parker Pen Challenge Cup Round 1 second leg match at Parc des Sports et de l'Amitie on Friday night.
The 2001 tournament finalists, beaten 42-33 by NEC Harlequins in extra time of a real thriller in Reading, take a seven-point advantage after winning 17-10 at Millmoor in the first leg.
"Our primary objective is to play as fast as English teams," said Alain Teixidor, the Narbonne coach.
"I have noticed that English sides are playing at a faster pace all the time and it is something that is missing from the French Championship - we just don't have that rhythm in our games.
"So, when we play these teams, we need to get a lot more movement into our game and I'm trying to ram it home to our players that they must do everything at a quicker pace.
"The same was seen in the Heineken Cup matches last weekend when the French teams suffered from a lack of pace.
"I believe the difference lies in the way our respective Championships are organised.
"With 12 clubs in the Zurich Premiership, the clubs can play a freer game without the pressures we are under because only four of our Pool of eight go through to the play-offs and the other four have to fight for their lives.
"When you're under pressure, you don't play as well.
"We did well to come away with a win in the first leg but now we have to consolidate that on the weekend. I'm not looking at who we might play if we go through - first, we have to get past Rotherham."
