"It is just what we wanted," said the Lions and England lock "We have had to play away first in all the three previous rounds and then been able to finish it off at the Rec.
"We all know there is the big prize at the end with automatic entry into next season's Heineken Cup, but, when you look at the four teams left, you know it is going to take some winning.
"I had four very happy years at Saracens and the only problem is that I have not won there since I left."
Saracens and Bath boast a staggering 33 internationals from 11 countries between them and Saracens coach Wayne Shelford expects two tough challenges.
"They are going to be a tough cookie to beat," said the former All Blacks skipper. "Bath are a very good side and will face up to the challenge. It means we will be playing them three weekends in a row, as we also meet them in the Zurich Championship, and they are three must-win games for both teams."
Wales scrum-half Robert Howley is in red-hot form for his new club London Wasps and would have preferred to have had home advantage in the second leg when they take on Pontypridd.
"We wanted to be away in the first game so now it is a case of building up as big a lead as we can to take to Sardis Road," said the former Cardiff star.
"We did well in the last round against Stade Francais and it will be strange playing against Neil Jenkins, but at least I'll be able to tell the Wasps players how passionate a place Sardis Road is."
Pontypridd fly-half Neil Jenkins, who will be out for up to six weeks with his damaged left hand but back for the double-header, said: "Wasps are one of the best sides in England, so it will be a good opportunity to see where we stand. I know it's going to be tough but we're looking forward to the challenge."
