Jason Robinson will miss Sale Sharks' final Heineken Cup game of the season against Bourgoin as coach Jim Mallinder changes key personnel from the side that beat Glasgow 45-3 in Round 5.
Vaughan Going will take over from the British and Irish Lion at full back and Nick Walshe will play at scrum-half in place of Bryan Redpath.
"We made similar changes when we played pool leaders Llanelli at Stradey Park recently and got within a few minutes of a memorable victory," he said. "It has been a difficult period with some very demanding games and fresh legs could give us an edge.
"This will be a difficult game, especially as Bourgoin can still qualify for the knock-out stages. But we won't be under pressure and, if we play as we did last week, we are in with a chance," said Mallinder.
Sale, PARKER PEN SHIELD champions of last year, have found the step up to Heineken Cup rugby difficult, losing their first four games in the competition.
