"On his day, Trevor is the best hooker in world rugby, and he is very important to this club, " said Gatland.
"His wife is away on Holiday in New Zealand and I didn't want him to be in a position where he was looking after himself. We can't risk him climbing back up to 135kg.
"So we decided to give him a 24 fitness minder. Paul Strideon and his girlfriend Kate are looking after him, cooking for him and ensuring he gets enough rest and helping him to stay in tip-top condition."
