London club Saracens have snapped up Kiwi fly-half Glen Jackson on a one-year deal.
The 28-year-old playmaker moves from Super 12 surprise package Waikato Chiefs but will not make his debut at Vicarage Road until October as the prolific scorer fufills commitments over the summer with NPC side Bay of Plenty. Jackson has scored 479 points in 59 appearances for the Chiefs since 1999 but despite representative honours for the New Zealand Barbarians and more recently the NZ Maoris who beat England in the Churchill Cup, the goal-kicker has yet to break into the Test line-up.
Head Coach Rod Kafer commented: "We are delighted that Glen will be joining us next season. He is a very skilful player and an excellent goal-kicker. He is in the right age bracket and brings with him a wealth of experience from the Super 12 and NPC competitions."
