The future of Austin Healey has always been in doubt since his absense form the England World Cup squad. However, It seems that after finishing strongly on the wing for the Tigers at the end of last season, the versatile veteran is as hungry as ever to continue playing with the 2000/2001 & 2001/2002 Heineken Cup Champions.
Healey was just one of five senior players who also decided to extrend their contracts. Graham Rowntree, Andy Goode, Harry Ellis and Will Johnson have also commited themselves to the Welford Road club.
