European Challenge Cup Round 1 Fixtures - Dates, Kick-off Times And Venues Announced

European Challenge Cup newcomers Worcester will make their Euro debut at home to Brive - the 1997 Heineken Cup champions - in the first leg of Round 1 of the tournament on Saturday, 23 October.
Worcester, promoted to the Zurich Premiership as First Division Champions, will travel to France for the second leg seven days later.
The complete fixture list for the two legs of Round 1, released by ERC, tournament organisers, today (Friday, 20 August), mean a Sunday bow for fellow newcomers Catania - home to Jason Robinson's star-studded Sale Sharks, the 2002 champions.
Connacht launch their challenge and fly the Irish flag at Narbonne fresh from having the honour of hosting Newcastle Falcons with England World Cup winning fly half Jonny Wilkinson marking his return from long term injury with the Falcons at a packed Galway Sportsground.
Montferrand, the 2004 finalists who signed Wales fly half Stephen Jones in the summer, travel to Leonessa in the first leg with 2004 European Shield finalists Viadana faced with a Spanish test at VRAC.
The Borders are also away in the first leg, making the trip to Portugal to take on AA Coimbra.
