Worcester - in their first season of European rugby after promotion to the Zurich Premiership - have an eye on the European Shield quarter-finals as they take a healthy 45-points advantage into the Second Leg of their Round 2 fixtures against Rugby Rovigo.
"We are definitely out to go all the way in the European Shield and try and win the title," said captain and Scottish international Ben Hinshelwood. "It would be great for the club and tremendously valuable European experience.
"We are happy with the result of our First Leg match against Rugby Rovigo when we gave a lot of younger players their chance and many of them certainly put their hands up.
"Players like Saosi Vaili, Neil Mason and Neil Cole all performed really well on the day and that has to be good for Worcester.
"It means that more players now have the benefit of playing in Europe while it also gives the coaches different options and develops the strength in depth of the squad.
"We found Rugby Rovigo quite a physical side but once we met that challenge we were able to play some decent rugby and score some fine tries."
