Stade Français Paris are the Heineken Cup pacesetters - 14 points out of a maximum 15 in Pool 6 - but they will have to break new ground when they travel to Ravenhill to face Ulster on Saturday.
This is the third successive season the teams have found themselves in the same Pool and the Parisians have failed on both their previous visits to Belfast.
"Ulster played a much bigger game than the one we had against Cardiff and we know that the return fixture is going to be a very hard game," said flanker Pierre Rabadan.
"We have never won at Ravenhill - which is an amazing place to play as it is a proper old-style ground with a fantastic crowd. This would be a great moment to get our first victory there."
Mathieu Blin, who captained the side last weekend, added: "The Heineken Cup is one of our main objectives this season. The competition is very important to our president, who is very keen to see Stade Français be successful in Europe."
But coach Fabien Galthié was unhappy to let a potential bonus point slip away. "I was disappointed not to have used home advantage to get the bonus point and give is a more secure position in the Pool," he said. "I just hope it's a failing we won't live to regret at the end of the Pool stages."
