Tom Beim celebrates his 29th birthday on Saturday - and hopes to mark the occasion by helping Viadana cause a European Challenge Cup Round 2 upset by beating Agen at Stadio Luigi Zaffanella.
The former England wing and his Viadana team-mates go into the Second Leg clash with the French giants with an eight-point deficit to make up after last weekend's contest ended in a 23-15 home win for Agen.
"It would be great to get a win and we know it is not that great a margin to overturn," he said.
"Viadana are second in the Super 10 at the moment and our win over leaders Benetton Treviso a couple of weeks ago was a big confidence booster.
"But we know we will have to play better in the Second Leg against Agen. We didn't play that well last weekend and, although we defended very well, we simply did not win enough possession.
"Viadana captain Matt Phillips should be back from a shoulder injury for the match which would give us a big lift as he has international experience, is a great leader and vital to the way our forwards
perform.
"We know Agen may have a few key players of their own back for the match but it is not impossible for us to reach the quarter-finals.
"We have got a good backline and, if our forwards can rise to the occasion, we are in with a shout.
"We had a slow start to the season with a new coach and several new players but now we are going along nicely and looking forward to the visit of Agen."
