Leeds Tykes director of rugby has handed a European debut to 17-year-old outside half Daniel Care for the return leg of his side's European Shield clash with Spanish side VRAC in Valladolid on Sunday.
With a 121 point advantage from the first leg at Headingley, Davies is in the comfortable position of being able to blood some youngsters and the former Wales and Llanelli star believes his teenage protegy has the ability to go all the way.
"He has just returned from the Commonwealth Youth Games where he scored eight tries for the England team. He's involved with the England Under 19 set-up and was in our Colts side that won the national title last year," said Davies.
"We involved him in the game against Grenoble earlier in the season and now we are able to give him a full debut for the club. I've no doubts about his ability and this will be a great game for him to showcase his talents."
Care, who will be 18 next month, said it "will be awesome to be playing with British Lions and world cup winners" on his debut.
