Bath's injury problems have worsened with the news that Spender Davey has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The promising young centre, capped for England at Under-21 level, ruptured ligaments in his shoulder in last weekend's victory over Treviso. A scan has since revealed that he will require surgery.
"Spencer has been a key squad member this season and his injury is a massive set back for a promising young man," said head coach John Connolly. "We would all like to wish him a speedy recovery."
Bath have already been hit with a crippling series of injuries with England centre Mike Tindall heading the long list. Other include David Flatman (Achilles), Robbie Fleck (calf), Chris Loader (ankle), Matt Perry (hamstring) all currently injured.
