Lynn Howells, the Leonessa coach, is unsure of just what to expect when the Italian side travel to Romania to meet Bucuresti on Sunday.
"The game against Bucuresti is going to be a bit of a step into the unknown," he said. "The Romanian team had a relatively successful international tour and there are a couple of Bucuresti players who were involved in those matches who seem very physical.
"We have been struggling this season. We're currently at the bottom of the Super 10 and have not been able to perform, due in part to an unprecedented number of injuries. For the First Leg we'll be missing our first choice fly half, No 8, hooker, full back and one of the wings.
"Clearly these are key positions and we are suffering from their absences. We are expecting all five to be fit for the Second Leg and if that is the case we will be able to put out a full-strength side for the first time this season.
"Our main strength is that we have a good unit of three-quarters. They work well together and, despite the absence of our fly half, they have been putting in positive performances. Unfortunately, the very physical nature of the Romanian players will pose problems for getting good ball and our depleted team will have to work hard to counter the aggression of their pack."
