"It's the biggest game in the history of this club. Winning trophies is what it is all about, but as an occasion our first Heineken Cup semi-final is going to be huge, " said the Wasps and England skipper.
"The Heineken Cup has taken club rugby onto the international stage. There aren't many semi-finals of cup competitions that allow you to play in front of 48,000 people at an international ground.
"Just as an occasion in ranks as the biggest in the club's history - it really is something to get excited about. We are going over there not only as English champions, but, I believe as the strongest team in England.
"We have proved in the Premiership, and in the competition, that we can go away and win. This team has been building over the last couple of years. People were questioning whether our Premiership victory was a one-off, and I think we've proved that it wasn't.
"Now it's a question of taking the game we have into a big event as Lansdowne Road.
