An independent Disciplinary Committee met in Dublin today (Wednesday 21 April) to hear a citing complaint lodged by Connacht against NEC Harlequins player Tani Fuga following the Parker Pen Challenge Cup semi-final first leg match between NEC Harlequins and Connacht on Sunday, 11 April.
The Disciplinary Committee comprised Paul Mauriac (FFR, Chairman), Terry Vaux (WRU) and Mal Beynon (WRU). The citing complaint against the player alleged stamping on an opposition player.
The Disciplinary Committee ruled that the player was guilty of the offence and suspended the player for seven weeks with effect from today, 21 April.
