Bath Rugby Head Coach John Connolly has named his side for Saturday's Parker Pen Challenge Cup semi final first leg with As Montferrand.
Jonathan Humphreys returns to skipper the side in the absence of club captain Danny Grewcock, yet to recover from a back injury suffered whilst on England duty. Otherwise the pack remains unchanged from the eight that guaranteed Bath Rugby's participation in next year's Heineken Cup last Saturday.
In the backs Matt Perry returns at fullback only five weeks after undergoing pioneering back surgery. Matt played twenty minutes in the Zurich 'A' League two weeks ago before starting against NEC Harlequins in the same competition on Monday night. His inclusion comes after Mike Catt failed a late fitness test this morning. Simon Danielli has failed to recover from his ankle injury suffered last Saturday and so Wylie Human takes his place in the starting line up. Andrew Higgins also returns in the centre and Robbie Fleck will start from the bench.
'This is going to be a very tough game, there's no doubt about that,' said Connolly. 'Montferrand are a very good team, any side with players of the calibre of Magne, Mignoni, Merceron, Marsh and the rest are going to be a real test. We've got good news in the return of Pezza and Humps, and we're looking forward to this match. We want to win our remaining games and we're taking this Parker Pen competition very seriously.'
The game is being broadcasted live on Sky Sports and kick off is at the earlier than usual time of 1pm. There are some tickets still available for this game and for every adult ticket bought you can get one under 16's ticket for half price.
