Connacht and Narbonne could be forgiven for thinking "here we go again" as they prepare to clash in the Round 1 of the European Challenge Cup, starting with the First Leg at Parc des Sports et de l'Amitie on Saturday.
The two clubs have met seven times in the tournament since striking up a rivalry in 1998/99, Connacht winning home and away in last season's quarter-finals before going out to eventual winners NEC Harlequins in the semi-finals.
"You could say we are getting to know each other pretty well," said Connacht coach Michael Bradley. "They are a good side and I think we were a bit unfortunate they were the unseeded side we pulled in the draw.
"But if you are going to win the European Challenge Cup - and that is our target - then you have to beat the best along the way and that is how we will approach the two legs.
"What I will be looking for from the away leg is a good performance and, if that also produces a win, that is great. We will be going there to win the game, as we did with all our matches in the tournament last year."
