Leinster will be hoping that one of the World's most exciting players - Brian O'Driscoll - can help them to conquer Europe, and they have named Reggie Corrigan as captain as they embark on another season of Heineken Cup rugby.
Leinster, who will play their home matches at Lansdowne Road, Dublin, have announced the 34-man squad they hope will propel them to the Heineken Cup final in Murrayfield next May.
Coach Declan Kidney is able to name a very strong squad, with the likes of O'Driscoll, Brian O'Meara, Shane Byrne and Gordon D'Arcy all sure to figure heavily.
But there is no room for David McAllister and John McWeeney in the Heineken Cup squad. The two players have been prominent for Leinster so far this season, but with the arrival of David Holwell from Wellington (in McAllister's case) and the return of O'Driscoll, D'Arcy, Horgan and Dempsey, the players were left out at the final cut.
