Sport+, the French satellite television broadcaster, kick-off their extended two-year television deal with ERC by broadcasting two of tonight's Heineken Cup matches.
They will be screening Perpignan's home Pool 5 clash with Edinburgh Rugby and Toulouse's visit to Llanelli Scarlets.
"We are delighted that Sport+ are one of our broadcast partners for the next two seasons," said Jean-Pierre Lux, the ERC Chairman.
"They did show a number of matches last season but now they are on board to bring more Heineken Cup matches to an even wider audience in France, in particular, in 2004/05 and 2005/06.
"Sport+ will be showing more live matches from the Pool stages each weekend comprising of a live match in France as well as broadcasting French teams playing abroad."
Eric Bayle, Head of Sport and Rugby at Sport+, declared: "The Heineken Cup is the leading club rugby tournament in the northern hemisphere and we are extremely excited to be fully involved with the competition.
"Our viewers will now have a top match involving a French team from each of the rounds of Pool games to watch and our association with other ERC broadcast partners outside of France could lead to more matches being broadcast on satellite television across Europe."
