Worcester have signed prolific Currie Cup try-scorer Giscard Pieters until the end of this season, however, he will not play in the early rounds of the European Challenge Cup after missing the ERC registration deadline.
Pieters, who can play on the wing or at centre, collected 12 tries for the Pumas during this season's South African domestic tournament, and had a brief spell with Rotherham last season.
The 26-year-old could make his debut in Saturday's Zurich Premiership clash against Gloucester at Sixways.
The English club are making their first foray into Europe this season, gaining their place in the European Challenge Cup when they won promotion to the Zurich Premiership last season.
They face a daunting double-header against 1997 Heineken Cup champions Brive in Round 1.
