Ntamack Is Back For More

The French rugby legend was the first player to score a try in the tournament back in 1995 and then became the first player to lift the trophy when Toulouse triumphed over Cardiff in an extra time thriller at Cardiff Arms Park.
It looked as though the 34-year-old international wing was going to call it a day last season, but he agreed to come back for more to help out his beloved Toulouse in their twin campaign to regain both the Heineken Cup and the French Championship.
With 21 tries from 48 games in the Heineken Cup, and three cup final appearances and two winners' medals, he is revelling in his position as the elder statesman of the most successful team in the tournament.
"I said I was going to quit at the end of last season but I agreed to register for this season mainly because Toulouse have so many international players," he said.
"When everyone is available I don't expect to play, but when the November internationals are on and the six Nations come around I will be there to help out in the French Championship.
"I don't know if I will get another game in the Heineken Cup, but I am happy with what I have achieved in Europe. I grew up with the Heineken Cup and I can still remember playing in that ground-breaking first game in Romania at the Black Sea resort of Constanta.
"I can see huge difference between that first season and now - the Heineken Cup is a magical competition. It was great to be able to play in that first final because it was an historic occasion for rugby in the Northern Hemisphere and we were able to write Toulouse's name in the record books.
"It was a different sort of experience in 2003 when we beat Perpignan in Dublin as that victory clearly showed that Toulouse were back on top in Europe.
"We had played nine games in the French Championship before going to Llanelli Scarlets but it was a great occasion and atmosphere at Stradey Park. We always get a difficult game in Wales and the Scarlets did not disappoint us.
"We were good in defence and we waited well for our moments. Llanelli could have score two or three tries but we held them out.
"At Toulouse we always go into the season looking to do the double - winning the Heineken Cup and the French Championship. Those are our twin goals and we don't put one ahead of the other.
"It is difficult to play your best rugby throughout both tournaments but we will be giving it our best shot again this year."
