Edinburgh Rugby's Brendan Laney: "We're just going to go out there and give it a good go."
Edinburgh coach Frank Hadden: "The standard of rugby now in this competition is just so high. It's a prefect stepping stone for international rugby."
Newcastle Falcons director of rugby Rob Andrew: "It's a huge challenge. We're pretty much novices in the Heineken Cup."
Ulster captain Andy Ward: "It's a clean slate for us, we have a lot of strength in depth."
Cardiff Blues' Jamie Robinson: "It's been a indifferent start for us this season. We really need to pick it up now in the Heineken Cup."
