ERC can confirm that the Federation Française de Rugby (FFR) has withdrawn its application to host the 2014 Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup finals, due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the availability of the Stade de France.
A total of over 10,000 fans from around the world have tuned in and listened to live games on the ERC website, and with crunch Round 6 ties to be played this weekend to determine quarter-final qualification, that figure is expected to rise considerably.
So far this season, 52 of the 60 Heineken Cup matches have been broadcast live, using 72 different live commentaries, with games being broadcast in English, French and Welsh.
At the same time, 11 key games in the Parker Pen Challenge Cup including all the first round of quarter-finals have been presented live online.
For the final pool round we have live commentary from 10 of the 12 Heineken cup games, as well three of the four Parker Pen Challenge Cup quarter-final second legs.
