The battle for Parker Pen Shield semi-final places comes to a climax on Saturday - with Montpellier left to fly the French flag in their quarter-final second leg clash with Petrarca Rugby at Stadio Plebiscito.
Montpellier coach Didier Bes is adamant they want to go all the way and keep the title in France by following in Castres Olympique's winning footsteps.
"We would love to get to the final now - it would be fantastic for the players and the club to win a European competition," said Bes.
"This competition is great for us but I think the media should take more notice.
"Despite that, we have had good crowds at our home matches and it has enabled us to play some serious matches and get some wins in the bag and find a bit of confidence.
"We are playing teams that we don't know very well which means we have to concentrate on our own game - which is a good thing.
"We will have to be on our guard at Padova but the objective is to win the match. Even though we beat Petrarca by a relatively comfortable margin, it was not easy. They are a good team.
"The conditions in Montpellier last Saturday were, to say the least, difficult. It was raining and the pitch was very muddy.
"Petrarca are a very physical side up front so we are expecting a tough fight in the return leg.
"Our aim for this weekend is to remain unbeaten in this competition and also to produce a good performance to prepare for an important Championship match against Toulouse the following week."
