Wasps fly-half cum full back Danny Cipriani has been ruled of out of the first two rounds of this season's Amlin Challenge Cup.
Wasps begin their bid to regain a title they won back in 2003 when they take on Racing Metro 92 this Sunday but they will do without one of England's most highly-rated prospects.
Cipriani was taken off after 68 minutes of his side's league win over Northampton last weekend and further medical tests have revealed that he has a small hair line fracture in his right fibula head.
The 22-year-old, who was a Heineken Cup winner with Wasps in 2007, has been on crutches ever since the incident at Adams Park.
The England international will remain on crutches for the foreseeable future, with Wasps predicting a return to action in approximately six weeks time.
That would make Cipriani unavailable for the second round of the Amlin Challenge Cup at Roma in just over a week, as well as his country's autumn internationals at Twickenhmam.
