Ospreys' skipper Ryan Jones believes his side are "half a per cent" away from clicking and believes they will only get better after their 32-32 draw at Welford Road.
While they may have squandered a 14 point lead, the Welsh region still managed to do what no team had done in Leicester since Bath won the 2006 quarter-final and that was deny the home side a victory.
"We are a point better off than we were this time last season when we came to Leicester, so we have to take something out of that," said Jones, whose side were beaten 12-6 in the opening game at the same venue last season.
"There were certain facets of our game that didn't go well and others that did. What we know is that you don't win the Heineken Cup if you have any weaknesses in your side.
"We conceded too many cheap points and we will have to go back to the drawing board to find out why we weren't able to hold onto our lead. I think we are still half a per cent off as a team because players are still coming back into the side.
"But we are working hard to be the best team we can be and we want to be competitive in all competitions."
