Public sale tickets for the 14th Heineken Cup final - being staged at Murrayfield on Saturday, 23 May - are now sold out.
The last of the 45,000 tickets available for public sale for the Edinburgh 09 final have been snapped up four months ahead of European club rugby's showpiece occasion.
It is the fourth successive tournament final to be sold out in terms of public sale in advance of the finalists being decided, Murrayfield joining the Millennium Stadium (twice) and Twickenham in early sell-outs. ERC, the tournament organisers, retain 15,000 tickets for distribution to the finalists after the April semi-finals have decided the two teams set to contest the title of champions of Europe, as well as reserving an allocation for European club rugby's stakeholders.
"We are delighted to be able to announce that all of the 45,000 public sale tickets from the Heineken Cup final being played at Murrayfield in May are now sold," said ERC Chairman, Jean-Pierre Lux.
"The final is now regarded as the climax of the European club season and rugby fans from across world want to be a part of it.
"This is the second tournament final to be staged in Edinburgh and I am sure we are in for yet another memorable event when the tournament's 977th match here in the capital of Scotland will determine the Heineken Cup champions of 2009."
Tickets for the 14th Heineken Cup final went on public sale in May 2008 through Scottish Rugby and Ticketmaster.
