Cardiff Blues have confirmed that their home Heineken Cup quarter-final clash with Toulouse will be played at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, 11 April, 3.30pm kick off.
The Blues have already enjoyed success at the Millennium Stadium this season attracting a Welsh Heineken Cup Pool record crowd of over 27,000 supporters for their Pool 6 win against Gloucester in Round 2.
The Blues are urging supporters to get behind Region as they aim to continue to beat their unbeaten run in this season's tournament with ticket prices for the must win game starting at £10.
Confirming the move next door to the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Blues Chief Executive, Robert Norster said,
"There was a fantastic atmosphere generated when we played Gloucester there earlier in the campaign and I sincerely hope we will have another big crowd for this Heineken Cup quarter-final match. Our supporters now can look forward to another superb occasion at the Millennium Stadium."
Praising the team he added
"We are naturally delighted not only to have reached the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup for the second consecutive year, but to have finished the pool stages as number one seeds. It is testament to all the hard work put in by Dai Young, his coaching team and our entire squad of players."
Toulouse also know the Millennium stadium well, having fallen at the last hurdle in last season's Heineken Cup final to Munster. The stadium has hosted three Heineken Cup finals but the Cardiff Toulouse showdown will be the first quarter-final played at the 74,600 capacity venue.
