Premiership leaders London Irish are surely one of the teams to watch in the European Challenge Cup as they approach their final two Pool games unbeaten.
A win at home to Connacht in Round 5 on Saturday, 17 January guarantees them qualification for the quarter-finals and the Reading based club will be targeting a victory in Rovigo in Round 6 to secure an all important home quarter-final.
Bob Casey's team know the journey well having fallen at the final hurdle in 2006 losing to Gloucester in the European Challenge Cup final and the Exile's captain is clear on their objective for this season.
"We were devastated by the defeat in the 2006 European Challenge Cup final and we are determined to go one better this season. We want to qualify for another final. And in the European Challenge Cup that means going one better than in 2006 - we want to win this tournament."
Unbeaten in the European Challenge Cup and with only three defeats in the Guinness Premiership to date, this season might just see London Irish fans taste the success they crave.
