Simon Easterby has been ruled out of the Scarlets' final two Pool 6 matches in the Heineken Cup.
The Irish international fractured a finger in the Welsh derby defeat to the Ospreys on Boxing Day and has been ruled out for five weeks. A veteran of 56 Heineken Cup clashes, Easterby, 34, will miss the ties with London Irish at Parc y Scarlets and the trip to France to face Brive.
The veteran flanker joins fellow flankers Dafydd Jones and Josh Turnbull on the sidelines while the Welsh region are also missing British & Irish Lions hooker Matthew Rees, club captain Mark Jones and Wales prop Rhys Thomas.
Having won their opening two matches, against Brive and London Irish, the Scarlets lost top spot in Pool 6 when they were beaten in the back to back matches against reigning champions Leinster in rounds three and four.
