The last of the 54,000 tickets available for public sale for the 15th Heineken Cup final have been snapped up.
The showpiece occasion at Stade de France on Saturday, 22 May, 2010, will have a capacity attendance of 80,000 with 15,000 tickets being retained by tournament organisers ERC for distribution to the finalists following the early May semi-finals.
"We are delighted to announce that all 54,000 of the tickets made available for public purchase have been sold some six months ahead of the big event," said Derek McGrath, the ERC Chief Executive.
"This is the earliest we have ever sold out for a Heineken Cup final and what better occasion to celebrate the growth of the tournament over the last 15 years than doing it at the Heineken Cup final in the French capital. "
The last four finals of European club rugby's premier competition - at the Millennium Stadium (twice), Twickenham and Murrayfield - have all seen the "full house" signs go up and when the final returns to France for the first time since 2001 all the signs indicate it will be another sell out.
