The Scarlets will play their back to back Heineken Cup matches against Leinster without flanker Josh Turnball.
Turnbull has been suspended for five weeks by a WRU Professional Disciplinary Panel after being citing for a dangerous tackle, in his side's Magners League match against Edinburgh on Saturday.
The offence was deemed in the mid range of sanctions and the player will be free to play from January 14, in time for the fifth and sixth rounds of the Heineken Cup
That means he will miss the crucial clashes with the European champions, first this week at Parc Y Scarlets, and then next week at the RDS.
The Scarlets are currently top of Pool 6, with eight points from their two games played, after wins over Brive in Round 1 and London Irish in Round 2.
