Toulon rugby league convert Sonny Bill Williams has committed his future to Tana Umaga's team for one more season.
After much speculation in the French media about approaches from other Top 14 clubs, the New-Zealander has decided to extend his contract and will stay at Mayol Stadium until at least the end of the 2010 season.
The former National Rugby League superstar arrived in France last summer amid much fanfare and made his rugby union debut for Toulon with a try against ASM Clermont Auvergne.
The fairytale conversion to Union hit a snag when "SWB" was ruled out of action for several months with a succession of injuries and had to wait till January to secure a regular slot in the Toulon 's first XV. The 23-year-old made two appearances in the European Challenge Cup this season meeting Montpelier and Bristol.
