Brive and former England international wing Ben Cohen has signed a two-year-deal with Sale Sharks in a move that bucks the trend of English players moving to France.
After spending two seasons at Brive, following a move from Northampton, the 2003 Rugby World Cup winner will return to England at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old Heineken Cup winner cites the possibility of playing his way back into the England squad as one of his key motivations for the move saying:
"I'm looking forward to joining Sale Sharks in the summer and getting stuck in to Premiership rugby again. I am proud to be joining a squad with a great pedigree and with ambitions to win titles and trophies. I am confident that Sale have the players, coaches, management and supports that will help me stake a claim to an international return next season."
